RCN_Moose Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 (edited) Just curious how DCS World will deal with controls and mapping for different aircraft? Since the options and control setup are in the main DCS world screen before selecting a plane. IE, if you have a HOTAS, BS2, A10C, and P51 how do you setup the controls through each? (EDIT: Just looked at it again and realized that you select the aircraft and then set your controls) Also (just thought about this) what about different video settings? (ie multi monitor for A10C, but not for P51, etc) Edited April 30, 2012 by RCN_Moose partial answer

Slayer Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 (edited) Good point - let us know how you get on with that. Nate IMO it should be pretty simple to implement. All you need to do is make a seperate monitor config for your different requirements just like you did in A-10C and BS2 located at C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Config\MonitorSetup So you could make : 1cameraA10.lua , 1cameraBS.lua etc Then just go to your video settings prior to flying and select the one you want. I know it's not ideal though. The caveat I see is that you will have to drop out of a multiplayer game if you decide to switch aircraft. Maybe some ED programmer will be listen and implement it so that we could have several aircraft profiles in one monitor lua file. I would be hard because the game would possible have to switch resolutions on the fly while in game. We had a discussion about this before in wishlist: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=1395776#post1395776 Edited April 30, 2012 by Slayer [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] System Specs Intel I7-3930K, Asrock EXTREME9, EVGA TITAN, Mushkin Chronos SSD, 16GB G.SKILL Ripjaws Z series 2133, TM Warthog and MFD's, Saitek Proflight Combat pedals, TrackIR 5 + TrackClip PRO, Windows 7 x64, 3-Asus VS2248H-P monitors, Thermaltake Level 10 GT, Obutto cockpit
