Sanch0
It looks good. You can use Dependency Walker to check if you have problems with other files (ex.: old dlls, x86 or x64 mix): http://msoos.wordpress.com/2010/09/11/0xc000007b-error-solution/ PVAF "A fighter without a gun... is like an airplane without a wing" dedicated to F-4 Phantom
Airbuster
So far, so good: the guy in the article was talking about changing some paths, but I can't figure out how to do this.
Sanch0
You are colse now. Probably you have old versions of some files. This screenshot shows part off dependency tree from my system: In the first step check files versions highlighted in red in C:\Windows\System32 and in 64b node C:\Windows\SysWOW64 by showing their details tab. ALDEGA
C:\Windows\SysWOW64 contains 32-bit DLL's, x64 DLL's are stored in C:\Windows\System32 ... Airbuster, - Expand all nodes in Dependency Walker - Press F9 (this shows the full path of the DLL) - Post a screenshot - Verify that D3DX9_43.DLL and MSVCRT.DLL exist at the specified paths
Airbuster
Thanks a lot guys - Sancho and Aldega for taking your time to help me out. Here are the screenies: and individual file properties:
ALDEGA
"Error: Modules with different CPU types were found" ... It appears the x86 (32-bit) version of D3DX9_43.DLL is stored in your System32 directory, while it should be the x64 version ... Not sure how to fix this without reinstalling Windows. You could try installing the DirectX update once more, but since the files are mixed up ... In the attached screenshot you can see the file size of the x64 version. ^ yes I did. Tonight I'll uninstall everything, clean my registry and try again. Did you use some kind of tool like CCleaner to clean up your registry? PS: you can ignore IESHIMS and IEFRAME

If I recall correctly I saw the same problem on this forum. Overwriting this file should help. My files from C:\Windows\System32 Are your files from the same directory? It looks like you don't have Service Pack 1 installed (If yes install it). Here is my D3DX9_43.dll from C:\Windows\System32 Before changing it backup your original files. Achluophobia
Sanch0 you're my hero! After days of installation, deleting and online searches now I found the solution. bigcountry
Where do I put this dll file at? Thanks Communication is Key
bigcountry
I did that still nothing. I am starting to think that there is either an issue with the game itself or there is an issue with a program on my system not allowing it to launch properly Communication is Key
