I just noticed that Ed Macy had written a review of Black shark a long time back, I tried to follow the links to it and all of them are dead (probably too old).

I was hoping someone here had saved the .PDF and would be willing to share it with me? I know it sounds silly but I have a itch to read it.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks Speed!

A bit off topic, but I've just finished reading Ed Macy's "Apache" and "Hellfire" books. There a great insight into the work that goes into fielding the Apache and can highly recommend them.

I also recently read "Snake Pilot" by Randy Zahn about flying the AH-1 Cobra over Vietnam. Interesting to see the contrast between attack helo aviation between the Vietman war and today, but one thing is the same...air crew need a hell of a lot of skill and courage!

I know it's carrying on the OT theme, but while on books, I can recommend 'Low Level Hell', about a Loach pilot in Vietnam. They complimented the 'Snakes' (Cobras) by flying around at low level (reeeeally low level, ie at infantry height) and getting shot at. A lot. It also shows again just how demanding simulating helo CAS on a PC can be, given that it's so fundamentally integrated into infantry operations.

Thanks ARM505, just purchased "Low Level Hell" on my kindle. Appreciate the heads up! While reading "Snake Pilot" it seemed the Loach pilots working in the "pink" teams got the short end of the stick, I'm looking forward to the read.
