For future versions of DCS (World), it would be awesome, if we could set the 2nd character of flights manually.

For example:

- I'm Hawg 11 (client)

- my wingman (client) is Hawg 12

So we could set clients in the same flight. Actual, my human wingman is 21, 31 and so on.

Such a feature were real, too. :music_whistling:

kind regards,

Fire

It can already be done my manually editing the mission.lua file in notepad++ or a similar editor.

But yes it would be nice to have the option directly in the ME.

Ok, how does this work with notepad++? If I open a mission with the np++, I get only stuff like this. Any ideas?

As above, use 7zip/winrar to unpack the miz file. Inside you'll find several separate file & folders, open the mission.lua and search for the call signs you want to change (in large missions it helps to give your groups easy to find group names).

Make your changes, save the file and then re-pack all the files as a .zip file. Once done change the file extension from .zip back to .miz.

Thanks.

I changed the callsign and names in the mission file, re-packed it and the mission works. But the changes don't work.

If my wingman (client, in the mission file named "Hawg 12") call the tower, his callsign is still "Hawg 21", not "Hawg 12". :helpsmilie:

You may have changed the wrong field. Open the mission in the ME, does the call sign field on the group panel show your changes to the callsign?

Should it be 12 not 21???

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.
