Nate--IRL-- Posted May 6, 2012 Posted May 6, 2012 (edited) You can install DCS:-World several times if that makes you feel better? EDIT:- That was a bit of Glib answer, sorry. Yes you will need it if you want the new patches. Nate Edited May 6, 2012 by Nate--IRL-- Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
159th_Viper Posted May 6, 2012 Posted May 6, 2012 I have separate installs of DCS BS1, BS2 and the A10. I also have FC2 Platinum edition. That is exactly what people have been fighting about for years to go away, ie multiple installs, hence DCS World :) Once the patches/product updates are released, all the products will be in modular form, plugging into DCS World, thus doing away with the need for multiple installs. So yeah - if you want to future-proof then DCS World is a necessity. Novice or Veteran looking for an alternative MP career? Click me to commence your Journey of Pillage and Plunder! tusler Posted May 6, 2012 Author Posted May 6, 2012 Ok thanks, so do I uninstall everything, then install DCS World and reinstall through it or do I just install DCS World and it picks up eveything? DCS World will not pick up anything yet, except the P-51 Module open-beta install. Once the patches for A-10C/Kamov is released as well as the FC3 Module, only then will DCS World pick them up. You can thereafter uninstall. Novice or Veteran looking for an alternative MP career? Click me to commence your Journey of Pillage and Plunder! joey45 Posted May 6, 2012 Posted May 6, 2012 At a guess . Install DCS: World then download what you have already brought* [in my case KA-50 and A10C] then activate. *the new install files from EDs shop. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.
