awdrgyjo Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 No matter how quickley I start the aircraft, or how fast I get airborne, my time to steerpoint/ waypoint or target, is always late, theres always a negative value on my HUD, and even at full throttle i'm still late, and fail to make up time, I could cut a corner to get time on target to reduce, but then this sometimes makes no difference. why cant the mission just start a bit earlier, then we could throttle back, save a bit of fuel, and watch this wonderfull sceanary go by, then again, there could be a simple answer, and i'm doing somthing wrong, would'nt be the first time.
Faelwolf Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 You could just change your call sign to "White Rabbit" :) Seriously though, is it not possible to edit the mission to do just that? Afterall, it's your game, nothing says that you can't do what you want (at least offline, in multiplayer you don't have so many options). I am still in the very early stages of learning, so am not at the point of even looking at/caring about my eta and linger times. But if it were to become an issue in the future, I would just edit and go on.
SNAFU Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 Try the Devel`s Cross Campaing. There you have to loiter the home plate and kill the time, before you set off to WP 1. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Unsere Facebook-Seite
159th_Falcon Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 It simply depends on the mission. If the mission designer has set unrealistic speeds in the mission from waypoint to waypoint you will always be late. No matter what. Reverse can also be true, if he would set impossible low speeds to the waypoint you would have to fly circles to avoid getting there to early. Attached you will find a lil mission, without targets, just navigation. Mission start is at 1200, time on first waypoint is set to 1210 Once taken off it should take roughly 3 mins to reach WP1 giving you 7 mins for start-up, taxi to runway and take-off. After that follow the waypoints and aim to land on Guduata at 1225 Only thing i put in your mission is your plane and payload, so no need to worry about anything else but navigation. Or maybe not? You will see.:music_whistling: ~S~ (ps, i might have set speeds a bit on the low side so you probably arrive early)on-time.rar [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] The keeper of all mathematical knowledge and the oracle of flight modeling.:)

slug88 Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 Remembet you can always adjust your flight plan to your liking using the Mission Planner functionality of the briefing screen. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Hoozin Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 You can also adjust your desired time on target in the CDU for the waypoint (on the waypoint page I think).
