Not Fixed!

---------------

Win7 Install Path question. I see in my DCS flight sims, they install in:

:\Program Files (x86)\Eagle Dynamics directory

or does it matter if they are in:

:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics (DCS world and P-51 defaulted into this directory and folder)

I will try the:

:\Program Files (x86)\Eagle Dynamics directory and folder

to see if it fixes the problem of getting an error ('you don't have a license for this product') trying to log onto the multiplayer server..

Update, this may have fixed the problem!

woohooo.. wish I had thought of this sooner...

If you install to the Program Files folder, you should run the setup.exe as Administrator (yes, even if your account already has administrator access).

However, you can install outside of the Program Files to avoid this requirement, such as C:\Eagle Dynamics\...

Or so I have been told... ;)

btw, well at first I could log into the DCS World server, then a couple days after the new patch, I could not log into the server.., after re-installing DCS World online, it worked again, but then after re-install of the P-51, I again could not and get the damned message saying 'you don't have a license for this product'.

of course I have full access and own the computer, the administrator rights stuff just makes using your own computer a hassle,,,

:joystick:

I think it is geting convaluted,, basically, I can fly offline, but get the damned 'you dont have a license for this product' message when i try to fly online..

If you are using 64 bit OS then: Program Files(x86) is where 32 bit programs go and Program Files is where x64 programs go to. Switching things around is bad. IIRC there is a 64 bit activation and a 32 bit one so you can't just install wherever.

Also as far as installing for admin...if you do so then everything that you use for the game must also be installed/run as admin or you will get wacky behaviour (IE TrackIR)

well after installing it 10x... trying eveyrything and send reports for help and trouble ticket..

the CDS P-51 is back at:

C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World

with Win 7 X64

still telling me the same messages, 'you don't have a license for this product',, still no multiplayer..

it worked great for those 2 days,, before the patch... after the patch... for a few more hours, then boom! only single player works now..

it is registered at the same email address and same password as A-10C, FC2.0, BS1, and BS2... they work just fine I keep checking those...
