hitman Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 Didnt know Microsoft game controllers were a valid controller in BS.
Yurgon Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 (edited) now today i installed patch 1.0.2 and i am not able to setup the 360 controller anymore the game will not respond to the movement of the sticks from the controller I can only assume that the 360 controller exports DirectX axes to windows, in which case I see no reason why it shouldn't work with 1.0.2 (or BS2 or whatever other game that makes use of axes). Did you already try to configure the controller in the options menu (sub-menu "Controls"), or did you just start to fly right after the installation? The 360 controller should appear in that menu. From there on, assigning the hats to the axes should be pretty self explanatory. If the controller doesn't show up there, does it work at all in windows? Edited May 19, 2012 by Yurgon Typo

Yurgon Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 BS does see the xbox controller so i dont know why i cant configure these 2 functions of the controller I hope someone else has an idea about it.
SackDestroyer Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 well i always used in and if set it up the first time and after installing the patch i cant set the left and right stick the rest of the buttons are working just fine BS does see the xbox controller so i dont know why i cant configure these 2 functions of the controller Make sure you have the control options menu set to either 'Ka-50: game' or Ka-50-sim', depending on which mode you play in. Also make sure that you're in the 'axis' section of the controls options menu. When you say you updated to the latest version, are you talking about the latest version of DCS World, or the latest version of the standalone Black Shark 2 client?

SackDestroyer Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 That's odd. And you've tried the controller in other games to make sure it's working properly too?
Sci2 Posted May 20, 2012 Author Posted May 20, 2012 (edited) That's odd. And you've tried the controller in other games to make sure it's working properly too? this is the only game i play on the pc the rest is on the xbox but as far as i can see when i go to joy.cpl and calibrate or look at the movements of the joystick it seems to work all just fine in windows EDIT: copy of the 1.0.2 patch This patch adds multiplayer compatibility between the Black Shark and Flaming Cliffs 2. As such, either game can host a multiplayer mission that both products can fly in. Several additions and a few bugfixes have also been included in this patch. For a more complete list of changes and improvements, please refer to the readme1.0.2_en file.
