scott tyrell Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 i have no idea what i did, but i think i hit a some key in combination with an F key trying to find something, and then accidentally hit space bar............. and the camera followed the bullets! It was awesome. I couldn't find anything about this in any of the documentation or forum searches, has anybody else seen anything like this?

There are no bullets (in terms of models) for the A-10's GAU-8. The impact is modelled but the projectile is not. You can follow missiles and bombs with F6 though.:) ASUS ROG Maximus VIII Hero, i7-6700K, Noctua NH-D14 Cooler, Crucial 32GB DDR4 2133, Samsung 950 Pro NVMe 256GB, Samsung EVO 250GB & 500GB SSD, 2TB Caviar Black, Zotac GTX 1080 AMP! FreeFall Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 (edited) I couldn't find anything about this in any of the documentation or forum searches, has anybody else seen anything like this? I've seen that once when I disabled the Ground Safe and fired GAU on runway. Wasn't sure what caused that. It was not the F6 though. Edited May 21, 2012 by FreeFall typo
scott tyrell Posted May 21, 2012 Author Posted May 21, 2012 cichlidfan: i should have mentioned there was no bullet model, i could rotate around empty space moving at a high velocity, and i observed the arc and the impact.
CubPilot Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 F6+LCtrl is the Weapons to Target view which is pretty neat to follow the weapon (not bullets) to impact. WildBillKelsoe Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 but realistically speaking, following bullets is not realistic at all... I mean all those A10 vids on the net, you get me... In P-51, there should be a replay for the gun camera.. Wags just posted a vid, but never said how he did it. AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS Fat T is above, thin T is below. Arcto Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 This has happened to me and is VERY annoying. Especially if you are trying to do a rocket run, you fire, and then the bloody camera goes instantly external!

That there is not 3D-model or there are no bullets and only an impact point is calculated. Edited May 28, 2012 by Cholerix
Simo Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Hey, just stumbled across the "bullet cam" mode in BS2 - key combo is "RCtrl + Num+" (Toggle tracking fire weapon). Pretty cool, but annoying when you first find it by accident then can't turn it off!
