Movie: "Red Tails"

Well I just finally watched the Movie "Red Tails" and I must say I was UNABLE to enjoy this entertaining Hollywood depiction and I blame it all on ED and those who took part in "DCS: P-51D Mustang".

Why blame them some of you might be asking? Well let me just say this, ED has done such an outstanding job replicating the air frame and platform - that I found myself spotting every minute deficiency in this great Hollywood portrayal like the fuel gauge and overall reconstructed flight model. Much like an Armed Service Person (like I am) notices errors in military uniforms and customs.

To the developers, you have outdone yourselves with this beautiful aircraft and I applaud your painstaking devotion to accuracy. I know this will not be a period specific combat simulator, but I can only feel that without period specific aircraft and other units, you are doing a disservice not only to yourselves but the 1,000's of man hours spent creating such a lovely simulation and I would gladly pay more for the future updates.

 

In closing, I do not wish for you to take this as disrespect or discontent, I have the utmost respect and confidence in all of your work. My only hope is that somewhere a third party is creating a WWII mod.

The movie was entertaining... but it could have been better.. the script was bad.. very bad.. and some of the costumes were bad too.. They did get the markings right though.. and I could pick out certain characters based on the roles... but it could have been a lot better.. It should have been a lot better.

It was Big Beautiful Dolls' last film role. Rob Davies is also credited.

Watched last night and I'm sorry to say in my opinion not a good movie. The real story Tuskegee Airmen would have deserved a greater and more genuine effort. This just felt like a quickly assembled industrial movie aiming to make a buck.

So true, but then it was HBO. They have always been about quality, not profit. I cannot for one think of any movie or miniseries that they just completely botched. This movie could have been and should have been better.
