Can DCS World recognize that the switches on my TM Warthog go both up and down?

I'm assuming there's a way to do that, since the default A-10C controls recognize that. But when I map controls for other aircraft they only see the switches as buttons; in other words pushing the switch up makes something turn on, but instead of pushing it back down to turn them off I have to push it down and then up again.

It should man! Make sure the option to get the buttons recognized on options is checked....

I think he means

for example.

The SU-25T has 3 flap modes and the hog has 3 flap modes but try mapping it to the hog and it won't work.

I tried.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

That is becuase the required commands do not exist in the lua file. You will have to edit/modify the Warthog Throttle lua file. It looks doable but I was not going to mess with it until after beta is over.

Works with these lines:

{combos = {{key = "JOY_BTN23"}, }, down = iCommandPlaneFlapsOn, up = iCommandPlaneFlaps, name = "Flaps Landing Position", category = "Systems"},
{combos = {{key = "JOY_BTN22"}, }, down = iCommandPlaneFlaps, up = iCommandPlaneFlaps, name = "Flaps Up/Down", category = "Systems"},
