I have recently been playing DCS online, and have just encountered a problem where i am unable to reconnect to the server i had been playing on (WarGame Labs). Host verifies server is up, other players are able to join, but the server does not show on my list. We have checked with the server running World and A-10. Both ways, the server is invisible to me on BS2, A-10C, and World. In BS2 and A-10 i can start to connect with direct IP, but i get a ping timeout after loading mission and resources.

Server has ports forwarded correctly, I have forwarded the same ports just to be safe. I can see other servers and connect to them with no trouble.

Hey ShuRugal you are not alone! The other day the same thing happened to a couple guys and me. It was weird because it booted us all at the same time and when we went to reconnect it gave us an error unable to connect.

Do you remamber the server??

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

Our server MBP Pajceki too... it can be seen in the list but it gives "Uanble to connect" when we try to hook up... but I'm still not sure if the academic network on which I was running it plugged the ports... I see, there is some problems... Did anything change in the way clients connect to servers?

Lets see if we can figure something out for you.

Versions: You need to be on the same versions to be able to see eachother & connect.

It appears you have this part solved - still, it should be verified - which versions you are running on.

The second is for the data to reach the server and back to you again.

Firewalls, ISP, routing etc - a bit more complicated.

It sound like you experience a issue where some of the UDP data is not reaching back to you again.

- It could be a ISP issue (someone in between you and the server)

- It can be your router / lan / wan contributting to the issues

- It can be your PC network drivers or settings which contributes to the problem.

Checklist:

- Please try to reboot our router, WLAN and all the components you use to connect to internet.

- After doing so, perhaps you could check if there are new drivers for your network adapter or mainboard

Perhaps you could tell us a bit more about how your internet is put together at home?
