I never had issues with CBU-87 on the A-10 1.1.1.1.

Now when I drop a CBU-87 and I'm looking at the explosion the FPS goes down to 1.

Did they change animations or something like?

yeah, i love the new animations but using cluster bombs has become a nightmare

The new explosion cloud seems to use quite a few particles. For single warheaded weapons this is OK (on my rig), but using the same explosion for each bomblet the amount of particles to render is also multiplied by 202 (number of bomblets in a CBU-87). I think that might be overkill.

I get about 1 fps as well. I guess we'll need to settle for a compromise with simpler bomblet visual effects.

Noticed the same issue when I watched an AI A-10 drop two CBU-87's.

Also noticed this when MLRS were firing and the rockets dropped all their submunitions... Wow!! Really slow performance then.

I'm on an overclocked 6 core i7-990x machine running at 4.5GHz with 12 Gig of Overclocked Ram and a 3GB MSI 580 graphics card. When it stops at 1fps something is up lol.
