Fix Multiplayer...

In DCS World... Please fix it... :cry:

 

What good is any of the announced modules if we keep falling out of servers...

 

I spent like half an hour of my life now, starting her up, flying to no man's land, scanning for targets... and just when I was a happy little piggy, ready to drop some steel rain on their heads ...CTD...

I love this sim... please fix it... cause eventually I will loose all pilots flying with me, and I will loose my hope too...

 

I know it's extatic times with all things announced, but one can't keep anything up on this fragile, glass leggies...

The DCS World thing is beta... that I understand pretty well... but multiplayer stability is an issue all the way to the moment we left 1.1.0.9.

 

It never healed... :cry:

 

Just promise it will be fixed... so I can go calmly to sleep tonight... scanning for targets in my REM phase... :D

Moaning is cool. But be useful when you find your problem and explain what it is so the devs can solve it for everyone. Not everything is known, you can get a crash no one else has and solve it for hundreds of people and that would be really great for everyone.

 

Reporting the crashes is actually useful. Saying you had one isnt really.

CTDs are like car accidents.

You find a wreck but you have no idea what happened.

You need the details, the specifics of each one to analyze it.

 

Was it in a junction? Were you speeding? Did you put it in reverse at the time?

Did you open the door to let the clutch go? At what time of day did it happen?

How was the weather?

 

It's the only way ED can prevent it from happening again in the future.

 

Happily to say, we're good at reproduction as long as you guys behave like good vitnesses and report specifically, mission, tracks, logs, events, what you were trying to do etc.

 

It's why we have several 'how to report' stickies - so you'll see at least one of them ... some day.

When we have your answers

- we may go back and reproduce the happening, and report it

- now ED can reproduce it - and patch what was wrong.

- now we all can verify that is have been fixed.

 

With no way of reproducing - it cant be verified, it can't be fixed.

Okay then,

 

how come there's been no feedback on the "server-gets-dropped-from serverlist"-error and the "CTD-while retrieveing the masterserverlist" eventhough reported by many pilots and squadrons, and despite sending the requested log-files to ED. There not been an official reply on this issue since I sent in some log-files two months ago. ED testers do not reply in threads where these problems are mentioned. Ed does not reply in threads where these problems are mentioned. Feels a lot like these issues are being ignored. We've been reporting these errors for quite some time now. Simple question: does ED know the problem exists ? Do the testers know the problem exists ?

I'm not asking for an immediate solution, a simple "Yes we know this problem and we're trying to fix it." or a "No, we've never heard about this problem." will do fine, but sadly I've not seen any reply. In the latter case I (and a lot of other pilots in the community) will be glad to offer any assistance necessary to fix it.
