viperleeg101 Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 Hey Guys I'm a newbie, just joined the forums. I just wanted to know the unit of measurement used in the PDF given below. Thank You.cleat.PDF
metalnwood Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 I would have to assume that only millimeters makes sense.
Pogo Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 Hi, The measurement is in Millimetres and uses the European convention of using a comma instead of a period for the decimal point. Cheers, Pogo Intel I7 920 Std Clock - 6GB DDR3 RAM - 2 x GTX260 SLI - 10K 130GB Velociraptor Drive - Vista 64Bit - Saitek X52 Pro Hotas - Saitek Pro Rudder Pedals - TrackIR 5
viperleeg101 Posted June 24, 2012 Author Posted June 24, 2012 Hey thanks for the quick reply, can u please help me convert it to meters please. Thank You.
metalnwood Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 1000mm to one meter. You must be from the states :)
Panthro Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 eg. 899.024millimetres = 0.899024metres or perhaps you mean centimeters = 89.9024cm (1cm = 10millimetre) and good luck and have fun with your build. [sIGPIC]http://forums.eagle.ru/signaturepics/sigpic86362_2.gif[/sIGPIC]
Weltensegler Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 (edited) :) As Panthro pointed out the beauty of metric sys is you just have to move the comma/colon by the according digits. And even the amount of digits get obvious from the name. "MILImeter" (a thousandth meter) thanks a ton guys!! There you go!! You thank them 1000Kg, hehe That's why all countries left the middle age measurements of spoon, cups, elbows, feet for technical units...oh wait :D ...almost all countries :music_whistling: Edited June 29, 2012 by Weltensegler 4790K@4,6Ghz | EVGA Z97 Classified | 32GB @ 2400Mhz | Titan X hydro copper| SSD 850 PRO ____________________________________ Moments in DCS: --> https://www.youtube.com/user/weltensegLA --> WELD's cockpit: --> http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=92274

PlainSight Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 What i wanna know is who can cut a plywood to a 89,902 cm instead of rounding to 90 cm and be done with it. It's not a space shuttle we're building here. [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Supersheep Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 I couldn't saw it down to 0,1 mm, so go for 90 of course. If it doesn't fit quite right, sand it down a little. Should work however, thats within tolerance. Super- The PVC Pipe Joystick Stand How to thread
