Is it possible to create missions in which TEAMS are designated based on the user's choice or do NATO and Warsaw Pact aircraft HAVE to be enemies all the time?

Thanks

You can make whatever combination of countries you want for each coalition. It just defaults to Russia vs Nato most of the time because that setup offers the widest array of possible aircraft, vehicles, and ships available to both sides.

Click on create new mission and it will give you a list.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

Okay, I tried it and the game EXPLODED.

It gave me UNSOLVABLE errors. Essentially, I put Russia, USA, UK and Israel on BLUE and Insurgents on RED. I clicked "Save" and then "OK". I clicked the airplane unit icon and tried to put down a Russian Su-27 and BAM. An error notification pops up. There were about six of these windows, each one popping up after I click "OK" for a given notification.

When I clicked "OK" for each error notification, I was unable to choose any of the countries I had built into a coalition. The only countries I could choose were the ones that were not put into any coalition, and by default, all these countries were allies.

I've attached the image of at least one of the windows I saw. I'm not sure if all of the windows (about 4 - 6 in succession) say the same thing.

If anyone has a mission with Russia and the USA on the same team against, say, insurgents, I'd like to have a file so I could use that as a template. Thanks!

I have, but only on the BLUE side.

The RED side has always been insurgents so far, but I will try random combos. Strangely enough, the error windows have ceased to appear, but still only the "neutral" countries are selectable.

Haha, hardcore fans of realism, I don't think anyone has tried this before.

I have - many times - & never had any problems.

What countries are you adding to blue & to red ?

Cheers.

BLUE: Russia, Israel, Canada and USA

RED: Insurgents.

The rest are left in the neutral box. Also, I wanted to train some buddies in gunnery and I set the mission options such that we had infinite ammo, but upon testing, the ammo is still limited.

I don't have FC2 installed currently, but I tried to recreate it with BS1 1.0.2, the mission editor is identical between the 2 last I checked. I was unable to recreate the issue.

Are you running Blindspots mission editor mod? Or is it the default editor?

I know its an annoying process, but have you tried a reinstall?

I'm running the default mission editor.

No I haven't tried a re-install just yet. I've done that many times to sort out other issues though. I suppose I'd have to try again :S

So I reinstalled and is sorta worked...

Now I can create units from both the red coalition and the "neutral" coalition although no blue countries appear.

I just have to test whether the red and neutral planes attack each other.

EDIT: Turns out infinite ammo doesn't work in any of my multiplayer missions either. Does anyone also have this problem, or is it a built-in feature for multiplayer missions?
