Hey guys,

I'm back to DCS(again and again with just some pauses ^^)

Is it possible to press a button to get a fullscreen of the left MFCD?

Well, I just lost my skill in DCS and I cant remember how I can move the Cursor FREE in the TAD Page that my Card isnt changing the map scale(I mean a free movement)

So, I have three more questions. Whats good against a SAM Launch? Flares or Chaffs? If a SAM got launched, what should I do? Get higher or get quick speed and moving to the ground?

After I did the objectives of a mission and I land and shut down engines and stuff, does the mission ends automatically or do I need to go out of game with Escape? I'm wondering cuz I've never had such a "End" screen ?

Thanks and greetings

1. not sure

2. depends on what sam system launched on you.

3. you have to end the mission with Esc unless the mission hase a end built into it.

Numpad key combination [Zero] + [some numpad key, cannot remember :D] will show you the MFCD, I think. You'll find the right combination pretty soon if you test all the numbers. :)

Ok thank you both, I will check it out, hopefully someone can answer my other questions soon :)

How to move the cursor in the tad page free, without changing the scale of the map?

Sam got launched, what to do? Get higher or faster and deeper?

My personal favorite strategy:

1. Detect launch, determine IR or Radar depending on launch range and situation. Lets say it is an IR SAM.

2. Manoeuvre in such a way that your belly faces the missile.

3. Pop flares. I use manual mode with a 2x5 0.25s program.

4. Pull up in the turn to 'hide' behind your flare. Estimating this requires practise. Use Tacview or tracks to see what the missile sees. In 9/10 cases I can completely dissapear behind my flares.

5. Continue with a high - low - high manoeuvre. After steps 1-4. Turn 90-180 degrees away from your attacker while rapidly descending. After a short descent, climb rapidly. The missile is going ballistic now and drains energy quickly when trying to climb.

I've been able to dodge many missiles this way.
