Installing New Beta Question

Great to hear about the new update!:thumbup:

I was wondering though...Should I uninstall the old version DCS world first?

Before installing the new version?

 

 

P.S. I guess all the user created skins I dowloaded will be lost with this new version?

I personally removed the old version first and then installed the new one. I'd suggest backing up any content that you have added after, whether it be skins or missions, just in case. They Shouldn't go anywhere, but you can never be too careful :)

find your skin folder and copy the contents to your desktop someplace before uninstalling your old version. If the skin folder is in the same place as with the old one you should only have to copy the contents back in be good to go afterwards.

great after so many days of scouring. so the whole world needs to be downloaded again? I'm confused. I have P-51 beta 2 installed. what next?

Ok,

I went back, and uninstalled and (saved anything i wanted to keep) and re-installed all the new files..

the first time, was wrong to just overwrite the old files... hopefully, everything wil work with no glitches... so far, so good,, but I did have to put my in game controls back in, the new install did not save my settings..

I installed the latest Beta, on top of the last P-51D beta,, maybe that was a mistake? there were no dirctions, that I saw, that said uninstall the older Beta..
