BS 2 Upgrade to DCS World installtion Help

Hi Guys!

 

I recently Migrated to 64bit W7 and I had to reformat everything. Before doing so, I deactivated my DCS BS2 (upgrade) which means I also have the BS1 DVD.

 

Everything is incorporated now to DCS:W so I downloaded the 1.1.2 when it came out and installed it, I was able to fly the frogfoot. Although I have not installed BS2 because we all have to wait for the patch to W.

 

Now that we have it, I downloaded DCS:W 1.2 patch and installed it. Worked properly and flew the frog.

 

This morning, all the download patches are done. I decided to install the shark.

 

1. I installed BS1 DVD and activated.

2. I installed KA-50_bsupd_1.2.0.63205.exe

3. Found the protect.exe and activated BS2

 

I ran DCS:W and I saw BS not having the $ mark meaning I can run it. I run the shark from World and created a simple mission but when I am inside I don't see my aircraft, just the map.

can anyone help me or guide me.

 

I have almost all products except for A-10C and P-51. I have knowledge with mission building and stuff.

Did you set the aircraft to client/player? Sounds like you set it to AI control to me.

Actually, seeing just the map sounds like the aircraft start time was changed, to a later time, but not the mission start time, set in the briefing page. The mission will show the map until the start/spawn time for the aircraft rolls around.

Yup, that's why i stated that I have a bit of knowledge with editing..it is set to player. The thing is with me you see no aircraft at all. If you set to AI, you actually see the AI but you cant control it..

 

I will check the start time.

Checked the start time it is ok. This time I tried the mission generator, selecting the KA-50, it loads up. When I get inside, what I see is the outside view of the SU-25t. So something is definitely wrong.

 

Could it be that there's something wrong with the DCS:W 1.2 patch?

There are some missions that are broken from the new patch. Take the intro a-10 official training mission for example. The camera never moves, at least it does not for me.

Any solutions? or should I just download DCS:W 1.2 full. I guess the patch don't work for me. ANd reinstall everything.

I didn't think there was a DCS World patch to 1.2.0 (the patch is 1.1.2) I think you need to dl the entire DCS world 1.2.0 Hopefully you've left BS1 installed for now because that'll need to be there when you run the BS2upgrade 1.2.0 module installer again. Forgive me if i'm stating the obvious but if it helps it's worth it. good luck.

Thanks! I appreciate all help..sometimes you are so excited and you make mistakes..I am sure the mistake came from my side not dcs. I was wrong about the patch and i appologizes. I messed up the installation with the wrong patch. I will figure it out, downlaod 1.2 and update.
