RagnarDa Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 I'm pretty new to this forum, but I've noticed quite a lot of people that has gotten themselves banned. Even people that has been around for quite some time? Are their accounts getting hacked or what? Could be helpful to know why for us newer guys. DCS AJS37 HACKERMAN There will always be bugs. 159th_Viper Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 You can rest assured that suspension of a user's forum privileges is a decision not taken lightly and only employed after all other avenues of sanction have been pursued and found to be largely ineffective in attempting to convince the offending party to tailor his behaviour accordingly in order to abide by the forum rules. In some instances it does mean that the relevant user's postings are removed: This is however the exception rather than the rule. In any event, the sanctioned user is well aware of the history leading up to the sanction and is kept appraised throughout with correspondence via PM between himself and the Moderation staff. That said, if your nosiness does get the better of you and you absolutely have to obtain further information regarding any sanction applied, assuming of course that one has a personal interest in the matter, then the Community managers can be approached via PM - see rule 1.3 for further clarification/explanation of any sanction applied against any member. Be however advised that requesting information 'out of sheer curiosity' could also be frowned upon as 'abuse of the system' so to speak so one would be well advised to ensure a valid personal interest before escalating any matter to said Community Managers: Trust in the Moderation Staff to keep these boards a pleasant environment for all :) Novice or Veteran looking for an alternative MP career? Boberro Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 My eyes could be wrong but few years ago I saw about 50 000 members. Later it's been cut to about 10 000 - 20 000. Is dat right? Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D ಠ_ಠ ツ
EtherealN Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 Cut _to_ 10-20k? I'm seeing 37 234 accounts right now. :) That said, I believe this thread has fulfilled it's purpose, so I'll close it lest it tempt people to forget rules 1.3 and 1.4.
