MonsterZero Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 I'm having lots of problems with head tracking movement in this game, with the view snapping back and forth, out of control, especially when trying to look up above my head. The head tracking seems to have lots of blind spots and when you hit a blind spot, the game doesn't like it. Does anybody have tips or suggestions for setting up the darned TrackIR for this game? Are you sure it is the correct way up ? small of the 2 sides from the centre is on the top side. the long part at the bottom. on the track clip pro, which i presume you have. also make sure in the programming it is set to correct track clip. pro or not pro etc. Edited July 30, 2012 by Ali Fish [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
cichlidfan Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 There is an option in TIR where is will display what the camera is seeing. This will show you where you hot spots are that are causing problems. I am not in front of the right machine or I would look for the setting. The manual is short though. HawkMedic126 Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 Sounds to me like you're moving your head past where the TIR receiver can "see" the track clip. Once you go outside the field of view of the TIR it tends to go a little crazy. Have you tried to adjust your curve settings in TIR so you don't have to turn your head as far to get the view you want? PeterP Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 (edited) Please use The video as a guideline - more worth than thousand words. Using a profile of of someone else isn't really the way to go - as it highly depends on his relative position to the Track-Ir camrea and his used monitor size/FOV. Short : what works for him - can be unusable for you. ... And please also read the manual that comes with it!!! I saw so many postings about issues that could be easily solved when the posters would have read the manual beforehand - instead of hammering their questions into the keyboard !! BTW: I have done it similar like in the video - but I don't use the zoom on the Z axis - And I have no "dead zones" at all in the Virtual-pit. Edited July 30, 2012 by PeterP
