HOKUM52 Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 Hi , this is a clean install on a new computer. the only thing i have installed is DCS world, no other ED or DCS products are on it and if you please check the picture thats the result. the spec is 2.7-3.7 i7 3820QM , 8GB RAM and GTX 675 2.0GB the thing is i had the same problem putting BS2 onto a friends computer also brand new, with BS1 then patch then BS2 upgrade and when i ran it it had holes all over it too. also in both cases the frames only on 8. please help no idea what to do
Lane Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 (edited) I believe by GTX 675 you mean GTX670 ? Check maybe on your Nvidia CP or inspector if all is set by default ( including AA ( no FXAA ofc, and let the appliccation control it ).. Little question, does your friend have the same 600series from Nvidia ? Slayer Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 I'd try the latest Nvidia driver first before anything. Especially if you installed the drivers off the CD You could also try turning off intel speedstep in BIOS...got rid of all the crazy stuff for me. For us to really help you you should post full hardware specs and a dxdiag. Edit: 8 FPS is terrible for that kind of rig....someting is terribly wrong. joey45 Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 What drivers are you using? The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. Many use it hence why i was speak about it. For AA, some force FXAA, or setting on Nvidia CP and offcourse it can cause trouble on some games ( and particulary the one who are made for it ) Edited July 30, 2012 by Lane - I7 2600K @5.2ghz ( EK full Nickel waterblock ) - Gigabyte P67A-UD7 B3 - 8GB Predator 2133mhz - 2x HD7970 - EK Nickel EN H2o block - 2x Crucial realSSD C300 Raid0 - Black Widow Ultimate - X52 -TrackIR 5 - XIfi Titanium HD - Win 7 x64Pro
