9 Crazies
I purchased A-10 DCS on steam but when I go to install There's a "$" over the A-10 icon. Any ideas on how to activate it on patch 1.2.0? Thanks!
MTFDarkEagle
Download DCS:World and the DCS:A-10C (version 1.2.0 for both) from the ED website, install them and use the serial you got from steam to activate A-10C (if you haven't already). Angbor
This is probably a little bit of a round about way to do it. But when I had purchased off of steam a while back they were really late with putting out patches. So I took my steam A-10c key and downloaded the standalone A-10c game from here. When installing that it asked for my key and put it into my registry. So when I switched to DCS:World I already had the key in there. I would say DL and install world, then get the A-10c module. It should ask you for a key when you're installing it and you should be able to use your steam key there. Once that's installed the $ sign will go away. 9 Crazies
I just installed everything but when I go to do any SP or MP I am always stuck in spectator mode. Any ideas for why this is?
Mar044
it wont let you if you have not installed a serial. it will put you in spec mode. make sure you installed the "moduale" and not the earlier full game, then enter the serial when asked. you will noticed after world is installed the moduales for each game is very small because dcs world has alreay installed everything, it just needs to unlock. on the dcs website look for "moduales" and find dcs a-10c. http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?end_pos=136&scr=products&lang=en Call Sign -Winter- "The North Never Forgets"

cichlidfan
Hello Angbor, When I downloaded the World files and tried to open them I got a "insert disk" command. What can I do? You shouldn't be 'opening' anything. You should have an exe and several bin files for DCS World. Place them all in the same folder and run the exe. Nate--IRL--
Hello Angbor, When I downloaded the World files and tried to open them I got a "insert disk" command. What can I do? This is a corrupt download - 1 or more of the files did not download correctly. DunMac
Thank you all for the help. I was going to post a couple of screen shots but see that I can't do it with this reply mode. I think I'll just let it be for now. I just don't get it.

DunMac
Hi PeterP, I can't thank you enough for helping me to understand how to go about loading those files. It, to me, is an invaluable lesson that I won't forget. I know now what I was doing wrong and fixed it. I get ahead of myself sometimes and miss things that are really obvious. Again, thanks a million.
PeterP
You don't have to thank me - I only copy'n'paste the info that is given at Digitalcombatsimulator.com ;) - well -I have to admit that having these links also visible after you pressed the "proceed to download" button would be a good idea... right now it is only at the top of the DCS World page.
