Can O_O defrag screw up DCS?

Everytime I am defragmenting my hard drive, I cannot launch any flight anymore within DCS World with BS. It crashes during loading:

Is it possible that O_O defrag screws up my file in some way?

It sounds more like a problem with your disk that Defragging exacerbates.

I see that you have an SSD -- you do know that SSDs shouldn't be defragged, right? In general you'll reduce the life of the drive by doing it.

No maybe yes ,i use O&O defrag as well and have no probelms.

But i have O&O defrag autostart disabled , so i need to start myself to defrag

the harddrives. Check your windows event logs .

 

ps. don't defrag your ssd's

Thanks guys. No, O_O defrag is automatically de activating the defragmentation of the SSD. I am only doing it on my mechanical hard drives. Well, I guess I am in for a complete re install of my DCS World....

After that put A10 on the SSD and see if that works for you. I like others beleive you have a failing drive. I defrag like maybe once or twice a yr. why do you do it so often?
