Razor5-1 Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 (edited) Hi, I have set up two different profiles for two separate GPU-12's. I want to drop the two bombs together 1 after the other. I am able to create the two and cycle through them but am at an end trying to actually put the profiles onto two different bombs. How would I add the profiles I made to the GUB-12's in the DSMS? I am only able to give 1 profile to all the bombs not two individual profiles to two bombs of the same family. Edited August 7, 2012 by Razor5-1
Razor5-1 Posted August 7, 2012 Author Posted August 7, 2012 I am trying to drop 2 LGB's on different targets in one pass.
GGTharos Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 Use a different weapon. What you're trying to do here is possible only in some narrow circumstances without utilizing some of the more modern LGBs. GripenNG Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 The GBU´s follow your laser. And as long you can´t point your laser att two targets at the same time - you can´t drop two GBU´s at two different targets. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Snooze-81st-vFS
Razor5-1 Posted August 7, 2012 Author Posted August 7, 2012 That's the thing, I'm trying to delay the release so that when the first hits, I can slew to the second target. I want to set the first to ballistic and the second to optimal release point.
GGTharos Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 Don't bother. Use GPS guided bombs instead for this. Your other option is to switch to CCIP after you CCRP the first one, so you can drop whenever. If the targets are very close together, it might work. If they're not, or if they're moving, I don't think you'll meet with success. Razor5-1 Posted August 7, 2012 Author Posted August 7, 2012 Cheers GGTharos, I knew it was possible, more of just trying to get it to work than anything to do with tactical use.
GGTharos Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 No problem, good luck! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
AtaliaA1 Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 JDAM is the ticket for dropping more than one. Take a look see for yourself. Using mark points you can get 8or9 if you can switch fast enough. Razor5-1 Posted August 7, 2012 Author Posted August 7, 2012 Ya i'v employed them already, 1 pass multiple targets. I am trying to use the same method with LGB.
Eddie Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 I am trying to drop 2 LGB's on different targets in one pass. Well, still no reason for two profiles. All that will do is slow down the process. But as GG said, not really practical.
