Suchacz Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 Is here somebody, who can recommend me Logitech G940 for DCS: World - Black Shark controling? I have X52Pro, but I have some spare amount of cash and I would love to try a real-life-like trimming with some FFB joy and G940 is AFAIK the only FFB hotas on the market. I've heard, that it has some issues, which made BS controlling a little bit tricky, some said that it is unusable. Yes, I used the "search" function, but most of your posts are old (2010 - 11) and Logitech released some new drivers and firmware after that. Per aspera ad astra! Dusan56 Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Nazdar Suchaci. Ja lietam skoro vylucne BlackShark. Zacal som s X52, potom X52pro a teraz pouzivam G940. G940 ma fair number of buttons (2 china hats sa nedaju pouzit v BS2). Tak to by asi bolo vsetko. Good luck pri rozhodovani.

I already ordered CH pro fighterstick, pro throttle, pro rudder, and they should be here in a week. Next, I'll order another pro throttle (for the A-10C and the new PC) and multi-fonctionelle panel with the extra 26-50 keys for full CDU functionality. BEWARE: G940 throttles tend to degrade over time and go to youtube to assay my claim. I was going to do your mistake, but I chose wisely. And that will be the expat purchase till I go home in November, where I'll get a kick-ass PC and fVck my brains out with DCS Mustang/new modules.. I am using a MSFFB2 and x52 throttle and love the force feedback with the Ka-50. Only issue is total lack of buttons on the actual MS stick. It limits me quite a bit. Especially if you want to fly the A-10. I was also reading reviews about the G940 and, yes, all of them are older ones. From what I understand there have been updates that fixes spiking and other issues. Have not seen a recent review since. Still thinking about getting it due to FFB and buttons. Would love to hear about someone that uses it now, and what they think. i5 3570k @ 4.3 560ti GTX 2gig 8gig RAM Intel SSD Win7 64bit
P1KW Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 The G940 is a good joystick for the Ka-50 ... but there is always a but ... You will need moding to get good performance. Should first extend the stick. It is not essential but highly recommended. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=84793&highlight=g940 You will also have to replace the electronics that control the throttle and rudder. As the above is not essential but recommended. http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/3541231/1.html If you are willing to take this job, you will have the best HOTAS for the Ka-50, otherwise you will have a great HOTAS but with minor problems. If you pilot WWII aircraft type (DCS: P-51D Mustang) would say that is the best possible option. In any case, neither option is perfect for the Kamov. Neither Logitech, or TM, or CH or Saitek, but everyone flies with them. Greetings! "If adventure is dangerous, try the routine. It is deadly." Paulo Coelho.
