It would be good if you could add country borders to the map.

I think all mission builders would like this.

Borders suck!

:D

That's better.

(I'd like it too, but only if it takes less than 48 hours to implement into the map.) ;)

Well, they should be able to just apply a layer with borders that you could turn on and off like roads and railway...

Is it possible for one of the geniuses (genie?) who do modding to find the file that has the roads marked on it & add borders, - the base pictures that are shown when "geophysical" or "satelite" are selected - or are those images actually drawing information from the "world" & making the maps up "on the fly" ?

Cheers.

Correct me if I am wrong - but (provided you mean only the parts with the full terrain) isnt there only one recognised land border on the Lockon map anyway? ie the one twixt Russia and Georgia. If you recognise the Abkhazia / Georgia boundary as a border (and no UN countries officially do) then that would make two, I guess.

Am abroad on vacation just now so don't have the link, but there is a good map I found a while ago showing the 'borders' on one of the UN sites about UNOMIG (UN observer mission in Georgia), just google UNOMIG and you will probably find it.

Maybe a border marking between Sea of Azov and Black Sea would remind people that Ukraine is on the Left and Russia is on the Right?

It's possible the border marking between Russia and Georgia might add something to the game but Im having a hard time imagining what it would be.

How about colors like this?

Sochi-Adler.jpg

Man I wish the water in lomac was a darker color like that!! And it would be even cooler if there were different shades too, the lighter colors in the shallower water . . .

I'm always surprised that people would want it that blue (including the developers). - I live looking out over the sea from the top of a hill & I reckon the colour in LO that most closely matches that of the sea most of the time (save the 1 day in 100 when it's like a mill pond) is that of the sea set to low - that grey-greeny/blue colour. As soon as there's a breeze & a few clouds the reflections are gone & it's matt.

Even if it's a glorious day it doesn't take much of a breeze to knock the realy glassy reflections off (more blue then, but still more muted than in LO).

Cheers.

WhiskeyRomeo - ...remind people that Ukraine is on the Left and Russia is on the Right?

ROFL!

Weta43 - I hear what you say. I got LOMAC first, then IL2FB and have to say that personally I prefer the sea in IL2, it has that realistic flat, matt look to it plus nice longer wakes from ships (pity that the ship models are poor compared to Lockon).
