VH-Rock Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 (edited) I'm a guitarist myself... 18 now and been playing since I was 6. Have a nice collection of guitars around me and it's always nice to meet other musicians. So, Any others out there? Post your equipment and, if you have, a recording of you playing! I'll start: Equipment: Amp: 150 Watt Marshall AVT 275 Guitars: Gibson Les Paul Studio Gem Series (Ruby Red) Gibson Les Paul Studio 50's Tribute - with humbuckers (Gold Top) Gibson Les Paul Classic (Honey Burst) Gibson SG Special (Worn Cherry) Fender Telecaster (Natural Rosewood) Fender Telecaster (Natural Swamp Ash Telecast (Home build - currently in bits) Fender Stratocaster (Tobacco Sunburst) Squire Strat (No idea why I still have it...) Other Guitars (My Dad's collection that I have access to) Gretsch 6120/60 (Orange) Epiphone 335 (Cherry Red) Fender Telecaster - (Natural Swamp Ash) We also have 5 acoustics between us which we both use. Recording equipment: M-Audio Fast Track Pro Pro Tools 10 SE And a clip of me playing... I just got finished working on this collaboration with a friend: There are timed comments to identify the play. So, post your stuff! All the best, Rob. Edited September 5, 2012 by VH-Rock Virtual Horsemen - Right Wing (P-51) - 2008... Virtual Ultimate Fighters - Lead (P-47) - 2020...

leafer Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Man, that is quite a collection you have there! I'm no musician but I love playing guitars n recently picked up a used generic acoustic. Been playing it everyday. My favorite songs to play are smashing pumpkins - 1979, STP - interstate love song, faith no more - easy, and my fav song of all time, The Cure - Just Like Heaven. 1979 is quite easy to play but play n sing at the same time took some practice. I'd tea bag a bucket of liquid nitrogen for a Les Paul Classic and Ibanez A300E. :D What's your fav songs to play? ED have been taking my money since 1995. :P

VH-Rock Posted September 6, 2012 Author Posted September 6, 2012 (edited) Nice collection! Im a les paul guy myself if you like Slash check out my channel just youtube my user name neroroxxx ;-) Cheers Guys, Neroroxxx, I'll check that out mate, as I do happen to be a Slash fan :P (Got to see him live last year... If you've seen the "Made in Stoke" DVD, you should keep an eye out for me, as, I'm in it quite a lot :) ) Some very nice instruments around here apparently :) Just realised I didn't post a photo of mine... (:megalol:) My 3 Les Pauls were joined by a friends Les Paul Traditional. From Left to Right: Les Paul Classic, Les Paul Traditional (NOT mine), Les Paul Studio 50's Tribute with Humbucker, Les Paul Studio Gem Series Top right is a 1968 Yamaha SA-30 which I sold yesterday. @leafer The Les Paul Classic is an absolute beauty, my favourite of the collection! She weighs an absolute ton as she isn't weight relieved or chambered like most Les Pauls are today. The Pickups are extremely powerful on it... Endless sustain, a nice thick tone (There's a lot of middle), but a very clear sound at the end of it. The Volume / Tone controls on this guitar give you a hugely varied array of sounds... I've yet to find a more versatile guitar! The neck is just gorgeous (60's thinner style) and the build quality is stunning. I really can't praise this guitar enough, it's fantastic! Here's mine; Keep 'em coming guys! Edited September 6, 2012 by VH-Rock Virtual Horsemen - Right Wing (P-51) - 2008... Virtual Ultimate Fighters - Lead (P-47) - 2020...

SmokeyTheLung Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Oh... looks fantastic. Thanks very much, I must say I feel the same way about your work! I like making my own pedals Very cool! I tried that myself a few times, unfortunatly I just don't have the requisite wiring skills. I can follow a diagram and wire up a basic guitar configuration but I never quite understand how it works...I find that acoustics are a lot easier on that front :D System specifications: Computer, joystick, DCS world, Beer
