sounds good,but isnt there anyone with a 24/7 server with just. jeeps some tanks some buildings mayby some slow bombers flying around?

In case you don't find what you are looking for, the mission editor is fairly easy to use for setting up a target range.

Slow bombers? AN-2's maybe. That's what I use as target practice. :)

Well our Virtual Tuskegee server is up just about every night..mostly for formation training but lately we have just created our " Combat Division " and have weekly Combat Nights..but looking to extend this...last night was a blast..

Yes,in which im practicing by my lonesome,itd be funner with others.

Slow bombers? AN-2's maybe. That's what I use as target practice. :)

here is my list of bombers to use An-26B . An-30 , Tu-142M , Tu-95 , Yak-40 , they are pretty fun to shoot at.

I can vouch for that, got ripped to pieces by him the day before yesterday.

When you and I duelled, Ich, it was the last version of my mission, in which the A-10C had 20% fuel and the P-51D had 85% fuel. I just updated my mission twelve hours ago to return them both to 50%, and upon testing, I was soundly perforated by human-controlled P-51s again. You should be able to return the favor now. ; )

 

I still don't know what to do with the fuel states on this match--same fuel appears to be a death sentence for the A-10, but I think the 20-85 was much too hard on the P-51. I can't tell since I don't have the P-51 yet. Sometime I should create a separate mission to test this; maybe 20-50?

Oh heck yes - at 85% you have the main fuselage tank more than half-full with in itself turns her into a floating hippopotamus.

never before given it any thought tbh. Thing is, the P-51, pilot skill being equal, is always going to give the A-10 a hiding when on Wing-Tanks. I'd start with the Mustang at 50% and the A10 at 30% if it's an air-start furball you're running on the server.

I see. One of these days, I'm going to give some of my old P-38 versus A6M dogfighting tactics a try, and see what happens. I suspect, however, given the relative speeds, that A-10 versus P-51 is more like P-38 versus Spitfire, and less like P-38 versus A6M. And I never was able to figure out how to deal with Spitfires.
