DCS: Fighter Peripherals request.

I saw an interesting UI development in a Combat Helo youtube that i thought was worth taking about...

note at 0:22, he has a programmable keyboard pop up for data entry. Could ED program a similar "pop up" for the next DCS title for the fighter CDU unit? I could see it being "click/draggable" with the mouse and really support touchscreen/mulitmonitor users out of the box.

It might very well be an attactive feature for many folks not wanting to have to run an additional software set (Hawgtouch/HELIOS) on top of the fighter sim.

Thoughts?

Would be kinda cool for FC aircraft.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

Yeah, speaking of that, I know sim companies are beyond confusing with release dates, but we can't even know what the aircraft is? Come on.

I hear its the F/A-18 :pilotfly:

"The art of simulation design is about understanding limited fidelity...

...compromises must be made. Designers have to consider cost vs. fidelity and processor time vs. fidelity. Additional trade-offs must be made between graphics, AI, flight models, number of units and more...

...never ask the pilot what he wants to learn because he too will end up building an airplane. Instead, ask the pilot what he needs to learn."
