SGT Coyle Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 (edited) I would like to see in the Radio Comms Menu Heading the Feq and Preset setting along with the radio being activated. Example: VHF AM 1 / 129.00 ps 1 Edited October 19, 2012 by SGT Coyle Night Ops in the Harrier IYAOYAS
cichlidfan Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 (edited) This needed a poll? Maybe PeterP is right. SGT Coyle Posted September 30, 2012 Author Posted September 30, 2012 Everyone likes polls. Night Ops in the Harrier IYAOYAS
SGT Coyle Posted September 30, 2012 Author Posted September 30, 2012 That sounds like a good poll. Night Ops in the Harrier IYAOYAS
SGT Coyle Posted October 3, 2012 Author Posted October 3, 2012 Well I'm asking for is a visual way to remind oneself as to what freq/preset your about to broadcast on. It's only intention is to keep your eyes on what you're doing. Instead of having to actually look at the radio in question. I don't believe this would depart from the realism of the game. Tholozor Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 If we had the newer digital radios, that might be more feasible, but I don't know all the features those incorporate. VIKBELL Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 How is the real aircraft set up and leave it that way.. There are 2 categories of fighter pilots: those who have performed, and those who someday will perform, a magnificent defensive break turn toward a bug on the canopy. Robert Shaw
cichlidfan Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 Don't real pilots write that down on their kneeboard? Britchot Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 Don't real pilots write that down on their kneeboard? I believe so. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] CPU - Intel 8088 @ 4.77 MHz; Memory - 128KB; 360KB double-sided 5 1/4" full-height floppy disk drive; 10MB Seagate ST-412 hard drive JG-1 MiG-21bis Checklist
ApoNOOB Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 Is there a Virtual kneeboard I can write stuff on? One more piece of paper for DCS around here and the stack will topple and bury me alive... :)
SGT Coyle Posted October 3, 2012 Author Posted October 3, 2012 Maybe this would help: All I would like to see is the Freq (in red), or if in preset mode, the preset. I'm not talking about changing radios or anything more elaborate./ Night Ops in the Harrier IYAOYAS
