Been away from A-10 for a few weeks (FIFA13) and im looking at updating to 1.2.1. I understand the prcedure of what to do but, As i dont have a Warthog Hotas, I have spent ages configuring my Hotas X and and Xbox 360 contoller to do the functions of the Hotas as well as other bits and bobs.

What file or folder will i need to move to protect those bindings so i can put them back once i have re installed, not fussed about save games as it will give me a chance to play through again, this time without the red and blue noob blobs, in readiness for MP

Cheers

I believe this is the folder you're looking for "C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\A-10C\Input\A-10C"

And I'm very jealous b/c I totally want to get FIFA 13 :(

No - Saved Games folder :)

Your old inputs are saved in your Users/username/Saved Games folder, usually the DCS folder, unless you have renamed it.

Now, the important part:

Installation Instructions are clear (http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/faq/install/):

Notice!

If there was installed another version of the module you install, it's obligatory to delete folder with old configuration data:

C:\Users\%USERNAME%\Saved Games\DCS

Now you can obviously ignore said instructions and attempt to copy/paste the old settings. Just be advised that a lot has changed in the interim and doing so might lead to results not anticipated, worst-case scenario a serious gremlin-infestation.

Obviously not advisable.

Good news is that with the new auto-updater the tinkering should be a thing of the past.
