britgliderpilot Posted November 10, 2005 Posted November 10, 2005 hi, I was wondering dose any one think it would be possible to create a mod featuring AI F-15E ? Yes and no. If you equip the AI with bombs, it can drop them - this is the case even with aircraft like the IL76. However, you can't create an external 3D model for the F15E. The model formats are created using a plugin that Eagle Dynamics wrote themselves, and aren't releasing . . . . . you can build a 3D model and send it to them, but that's all. We can't add aircraft to the game, either - we can only slightly modify the existing aircraft. There are only two exceptions to that . . . and those exceptions are aircraft that were already hidden in the code, but do not have 3D models, loadouts, or skins as part of Lomac. In case you're wondering, those aircraft are the MiG29K and F111. The good news is that someone has been working on a pretty impressive 3D model for the F15E, and ED plan to add it at some point. So by the time we'd work up a mini-mod, their own would probably be nearly here :) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v121/britgliderpilot/BS2Britgliderpilot-1.jpg
upyr1 Posted November 10, 2005 Author Posted November 10, 2005 well LOPE + the exising F-15 + darker Strike Eagle shade skins= F-15E to me right now...until ED adds it.
Maverick-90 Posted November 10, 2005 Posted November 10, 2005 i made one, has 21 Hardpoints, and has additional tasks (CAS; pinpoint; Ground attack) just have to put it toghether, might take a little time until Release looks like this:
Maverick-90 Posted November 10, 2005 Posted November 10, 2005 actually there's not much to Beta test, cuz it only works for AI ;-) the only Bug is, the AIM-120 and AIM-7 on Fuselage racks are in wrong position (FC doesn't support enough Hardpoints, max is about 22) humans can fly the CBU's from One Base to another, but not more. Maybe there's a way to get an a/g mode for F-15 via .lua ?
upyr1 Posted November 10, 2005 Author Posted November 10, 2005 well by beta testing I meant just escorting some F-15E's in my F-15C.

Maybe there's a way to get an a/g mode for F-15 via .lua ? Can you fly the F-15 equipped with all those pylons? In 1.02 if I added more pylons, the game crashed when a human player took control of the aircraft, even if you weren't carrying any bombs at all. I think it was due to the pylons added, which weren't managed by the program. Maybe I did some mistakes... I don't know... some 1.02 Strike Eagle ops http://forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?t=8820 another post: http://forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?t=7725 Hehe, that Il-76 test.... It became famous :) An Il-76 which could drop a dumb bomb with the same precision of an LGB dropped by an F-117! http://digilander.libero.it/airsuperiority/ss/ScreenShot_718.jpg http://digilander.libero.it/airsuperiority/ss/ScreenShot_719.jpg http://digilander.libero.it/airsuperiority/ss/ScreenShot_720.jpg

So they upped the HP limit to 22 in FC, cool, I'll check it out. Creedence Clearwater Revival:worthy:
