Happy Days

DO I have to / How do I ........install the old 'LOMAC' via DCS world or is this a stand alone installation as per pre dcs world days?

I have the Lock on Gold discs...is there now a module?

Oh and if I do have to install FC. Then once I have installed FC3 can I unistall FC1?

1. Install LOMAC as a stand alone. I installed it in it's own folder, away from where dcs world was.

2. After you install LOMAC, (you don't need to start it), you can install FC3.

Not sure if you can uninstall LOMAC afterwards, I would guess that you can. Someone else might want to clarify this bit.

BTW. I used the old original LOMAC disc. Not sure if there is any difference when installing Gold edition.

Gold is two CDs : 1/ LOMAC and 2/ LOFC1

You need only to install the first disk (LOMAC). That's enough a proof of purchase of LO, if the computer on which you install was never with FC1.

If the computer on which you install had FC1 installed/activated a point of time, it is possible that having FC1 installed/activated will be asked by FC3. You can then either do that, or make your computer forget it once had FC1 (registry edit, only if you know what you do).

Then, separatly (stand alone/other folder), install DCS World. Then the FC3 module for DCS World (a module is to be installed on/inside DCS World folder).

Yes you can uninstall LOMAC after you have installed and activated FC3.

Hmmm... might not even have to activate but thats the steps I took.

Is there a minimum footprint required of the FC1 installation for the proof of purchase check?

For example, if I install FC1 to the HDD (and thereby, the registry entries), can I then delete all files but the .EXE and still pass the check, or do I have to keep all the files on the HDD?
