Hi I am getting this errobefore the game starts it CTD's.. This is a fresh install of Win7 64bit.. I updated windows it is current.. I installed dx and C++.. I am using nVidias 314.70 drivers..

 

sys specs:

 

1. Intel IB i5 3.4ghz.

3. 8gb memory

4. NVidia evga 480gtx 314.70 drivers.

5. Win 7 64bit..

6. Corsair SSDForce 3 updated..

 

I just downloaded and installed in c:Eagle Dynamics and I have set the compatibility mode for running as admin.. I also checked but do NOT have any Crash logs to report?? c:users/jlaf5150/saved games\ Nothing here??

Do you have anything in Windows Event Viewer? It should catch it eveen if crashlog generation does not.

I did not see anything in there I even ran the exe again and noted the time nothing.. It looks like it is the updater crashing before it runs the updater??

Yes I just tried running the dcs.exe directly it errors before it launches..the error message says this application was unable to start correctly..

There are two: The updater that is usually placed on the desktop and the launcher that you find in your bin folder located in your main install folder.

I get the same error running any of the launchers in the bin folder..??

Yes I have a storage drive in my system I can install it to..I will try that now..

 

 

 

 

EDIT: I just installed it on my E drive got the same error and it will not start??

 

I just tried reinstalling as admin, I cleared all the logs in event viewer I ran the DCS.exe and there are NO logs reported??

 

I also tried a few other things like repairing the distributable packages nothing seems to work.. I also tried to repair the DCS Install but that gets and error when running too.. I am going to try redownloading the Sim..

Well I redownloaded and installed DSCW it still does not start..I get the same error message..

Would that include my Thrustmaster Cougar?? I also have some Nintendo contorllers plugged in for 1964..

I unplugged the controllers no good same problem.. I have opened a ticket with ED hopefully they will have some answers..
