ED, DCS and A10C logos

Save, Open in Photoshop, Adjust layer to remove background (usually changing blend mode ete.)

Also if you're in a hurry you could try opening some docs in PDF in vector graphics software like Inkscape, Scribus (actually a DTP program) or Corel Draw. Often logos are in vector format i.e. scallable, no pixels.
