Well, I also didn't get repaired the other night even though the ground crews said they would. Something is up, but I donno what, or if it is known or not. It's worth checking in to.

I have repair working on SU-25T, both online and offline. You do have to wait, and it takes time, and there's no feedback (countdown, or messages - sometimes the GC doesn't even say "copy").

Does one need to add support vehicles to the airfield, or at least some other stationary friendly vehicle for refuelling/repairing to work?

I have the same question. (FYI, I have 1.2.2 and all the latest updates)

I created a mission last night and assigned an airport to the Red coalition, positioned Russian refueling and GPU vehicles all over the ramp, added Russian AA vehicles, and added Russian APCs all over the airfield.

I thought I had everything possible covered.

However, after I landed in the Su-25T and taxied to the ramp I used the radios to request refueling, rearming, repair, and even used the Alt+' trick... to no effect.

Now... I will say it IS possible that my engines were not 100% spooled down. Gah! We need better feedback in the SIM via Radio responses, messages, or some other way because it is downright impossible to troubleshoot. This is especially annoying being that you can hot refuel / rearm in the A-10C.

I've even seen someone say in the Su-25T that you need to have the flaps all the way down, which I doubt...?

Also wondered if either a.) I am missing something (totally possible! :), or b.) the manuals for the ME have not been updated since the latest releases?

There is a new "Late activation" option in the ME which is not described anywhere that I can find in the GUI User Manual.pdf. Which doc should I reference and what directory is it located in?

Many thanks! :pilotfly:

IIRC, once the engines have spooled completely down, the flaps should extend completely on their own. Not sure if electrical power also needs to be cut. But I would think that that would be an indication that you are completely shut down. Ever notice that, in a ramp start, the flaps are fully extended? That's because there's no hydraulic power. Unfortunately, I won't be in a position to check any of this out myself today.

Yes.

Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing

Ah, completely. That makes sense. The other post I read made it sound like you had to manually lower the flaps, but I get the whole hydro thing.

Thanks for that!

Also, where is the list in the manuals (not in a post somewhere) of the vehicles you need to facilitate refueling / rearming / repair?

Many thanks!

I had a few minutes to do some experimenting. This applies only to the Su-25T and single player. Results with multiplayer and different aircraft might be different. Haven't tested to see. EDIT: Need to mention that I was on the ramp to test this. :: EDIT ENDS

This only refers to refueling and rearming. Hopefully tomorrow I'll have time to check out damage repair.

1) The airbase must be set to your side: either Red or Blue. Neutral or Enemy is a "no go".

2) Engines must be OFF and spooled all the way down. Electrical power ON.

3) Request refueling: \, F8, F1, select fuel %. What's neat is that you can de-fuel as well, if you want (down to 25%).

4) Request rearming: (I started the mission with empty pylons) LAlt+', either create a custom loadout or use one of the presets. Click OK to make it happen.

So no other vehicles, etc are needed. Only the base setting is important. It must be set to your side. As I said, I only tried this with the -25T and single player. Hopefully I'll be able to check out damage repair tomorrow.

What Rich said. I can confirm that the engines have to be all the way down, 0 RPM. For re-arming screen just one correction - it's Left Alt+', Right Alt doesn't work. Also, you can re-arm and refuel, but that doesn't mean you'll get repaired, have to do it separately.

If you dont have electrical power on you wont get a repair. I believe the ground crew answers but they shouldn't since the intercom cant work without power.

I have problem with repair, but different. Su-25T is repaired after some time, but if I had damaged hydraulics system it remain inoperative even after repair. So I am not able to steer wheel or raise flaps. Last time I started with one flap half down and other one in landing position what is not good for controlled flying.

They also don't repair blown tyres. As for hydraulics, can't really say, when I loose hydraulics I usually do a belly landing which usually ends with a bruning crate and an ejection...
