Megagoth1702 Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 Hello, currently DCS log is full of error and "missing" messages. All sorts of "something is not working right". Can we please have that cleaned out eh? When I was modding for arma2 back in the day a bad mod always had a lot of log spamming and had very bad performance. A well done mod had no log messages saying anything and also had a much better performance. Now I wonder - will DCS ever be log-error message free? I can not imagine that the game likes looking for stuff that it can never find/open/find out to be incompatible or whatever. Also keep in mind - all I did there was LOAD A MISSION with practically nothing happening there, sit in cockpit for a minute and close the game again. Mission attached, originally by the great Dragon from STP, I added some units and changed weather. Can we have an improvement here please? Please? Pretty please? Low priority so what it's a bug so fix it please?dcsLog.zipDRAGONS Weapon Training MegaEdit.miz [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] System specs:2500k @ 4.6 GHz 8GB RAM HD7950 OC'd Win7 x64 Posting tracks to make your DCS better - attention bump incoming!
ED Team c0ff Posted November 18, 2012 ED Team Posted November 18, 2012 Indeed, many things are yet to be fixed/cleaned up. However, logging in DCS does not affect performance. Dmitry S. Baikov @ Eagle Dynamics LockOn FC2 Soundtrack Remastered out NOW everywhere - https://band.link/LockOnFC2.

Megagoth1702 Posted November 19, 2012 Author Posted November 19, 2012 We don't mind an unresponded bug thread being bumped Therefore - attention bump. Even if it does not affect performance. ENO Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 I think the assumption Should be that we KNOW that the LOGGING process doesn't cause problems... But if its an error being reported 10000 times in however many minutes you have to think that the ERROR itself may cause some concern. Just saying... We're back to the AI planes taking off and landing- and we're seeing more of a connection with it as our unstable missions have more AI aircraft movements... While our stable missions have few if any. I think the errors have been reporting the whole time- but previously we thought it was client aircraft. "ENO" Type in anger and you will make the greatest post you will ever regret. "Sweetest's" Military Aviation Art
AtaliaA1 Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 (edited) Ask Not, What DCS can do for you. Ask What You Can do for DCS...........Ok Ok just kidding. Keeping in mind that this "Absolutly Great" Sim is from a small group, I am aware that I can not expect from them what I get from large gaming companys. So if it aint broke don't fix it, and keep up with the real bug fixes as far as I am concerned. To ask to much of a small company that through hard work and innovation have braught forth upon this nation a new continent,,,,uhhhh I mean game could prevent innovation in our ganre. Isn't the end justifing the means here? Do we not have for a pitense a software title that will for yrs. provide a level of entertainment far beyond any FPS on the market today. Look at the direction the company is heading and soon you will see that your wish is soon to be. More time for improvements and updating terrain engine is closer than you think with the marketing strategy in place now. And to DCS. Remember: fore it isn't your mother, your sister nor wife, upon whom judment must pass. The opinion that matters the most in your life comes from the one starring back from the glass. Paganus Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 While I agree it would be nice at some point, I hope ED continues working on some of the higher priority issues for now.
