Caspet Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 Hi all I'm having a problem with TeamSpeak and SoftTH. When I put the SoftTH d3d9.dll into the bin. folder and the cofig.SoftTH is created everything works fine on my two monitor setup but when I have TeamSpeak3 running World informs me "DCS has stopped working" When I remove both files from bin. TS works with World but I cant use both monitors. Clues anyone? Cheers  (I have posted this in A10 bugs and probs but not getting much response there so please don't move me) Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee Muhammad Ali-(Cassius Clay) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Caspet Posted December 1, 2012 Author Posted December 1, 2012 (edited) Ok. I tried admin rights no difference. thanks anyway BIGNEWY. Then tried your idea Smil and it worked, I unticked TeamSpeak 3 overlay plugin (not sure if I need it) the dicription says "Teamspeak 3 Overlay plugin for D3D8, D3D9, D3D10, D3D11 or OpenGL applications." I wondered if its the D3D9 that is the problem as its the same file name you put into the bin folder to generate the SoftTH config. file. I don't seem to get the TS3 splash screen logo anymore when World starts but will test in MP tomorrow. Thanks again  Edited December 1, 2012 by Caspet Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee Muhammad Ali-(Cassius Clay) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Gadroc Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 Yes, the overlay plugin allows teamspeak to draw ontop of DirectX games and it traps Direct-X like softth does (well different mechanism but high potential for conflict). It's not surprising that it has problems with softth.
Caspet Posted December 1, 2012 Author Posted December 1, 2012 Thanks Gadroc, thought that might be the case. Tested it in MP on the Flying Tigers server and it worked fine. Thanks again everyone  Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee Muhammad Ali-(Cassius Clay) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
doveman Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 The TS3 Overlay uses profiles, so you should be able to make one for DCS and disable the Overlay just for that. Will just make life a bit easier for you if you use the overlay in other games.
