Torian
I get a huge fps hit when engaging AI (P51s) on a small mission I made to host as a DF server. This is a real game breaker as the slide shows are taking all the fun out of what otherwise would be a good sim. Appears to me that the gunfire might be sucking some resourses. My rig is more than capable (i7 quad 3.2ghz, nVidia GTX580, 24gb ram) and runs Cliffs of Dover maxed out no probs. I only fly in cockpit view and have read some1 else getting fps issues too in cockpit view. Hope this gets sorted soon as some friends were wanting to try this out for DFs. Ratfink
Using the Instant Action dogfight against AI as a reference, my fps sits around 40fps and drops 50% when I fire guns, and becomes a slide show when I take rounds from the AI. In A-10C I have no FPS issues, never dips below about 30fps with TGP and MAV on MFCDs Fractal Define R4 Case | Core i7-9700K @ 4.9GHz| 64GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200MHz | Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Pro Wifi | Gigabyte RTX3080 Gaming OC 12GB | 250GB Samsung 850 EVO SSD (OS) | 1TB Samsung 860 EVO SSD (DCS) | 2TB Samsung 860 EVO SSD (Steam library) | 1TB WD Caviar Black HDD | Corsair 750W Gold PSU | Corsair H60 Hydro Series CPU Cooler | [TrackIR 5 unused] | Meta Quest Pro | TM HOTAS Warthog | Saitek Combat Rudder Pedals | Win 10 Home 64-bit | Asus PG348Q 34" 3440x1440 Monitor | Bose Companion 3 2.1 Sound

lanmancz
Yes I have the same issue. I created a simple escort mission that I can run just fine at 50 fps all the time (limited) but as soon as the dogfight starts (when planes start shooting) the fps drops rapidly to <5 fps. When the shooting's over it's back to 50 fps. edit : I didn't have this problem in previous version. Invisibull
Frames drop from steady 60 to 10 when AI shoots. Please fix this immediately. Slap_Chop
Gentlemen I believe what you are seeing is not a slow down in the sim but an actual super acceleration of your own consciousness and abilities. Observe ... I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy and I've had both. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
