In FC3 the SU27 & Migs have no forward view of the airstrip when landing circles are aligned in the HUD. The only way I can land them, is to approach too high & then dive for the runway at the last minute. Without 6 DOF, can anyone suggest a better way to land these aircraft, or a way to up the seat height to see over the nose.

Never seen this myself - got a screenshot per chance taken with TrackIr off, view centered (Numpad 5)?

You are doing too high AoA when landing... simply lower the flaps and keep speed around 260Km/h (give or take 10Km/h depending on fuel and load)

Keep about 5m/s descend rate and this way you should be able to keep the runway visual slightly above the nose

I presume you're following the speed guidance on HUD - and that's been reported as a bug already. That's why your AoA is too high. 260 is a good speed on final approach, as Kuky said.

Thanks guys for the advice. I was landing at too high AOA. Too heavy for 250 kts. 260 + gives a bit of a view. Can't wait for ED's promised 6DOF for the SU27.

Its 260Km/h as kuky said earlier. You would have difficulties to land on 260kts ;)

+1 can't wait either! But it won't come with 1.2.3 will it? Any time frame for that?

No, it won't make into 1.2.3 and no time frame can be given. When ED/Wags announce it you will know and can't know before.

I keep my approach speed between 290 and 300 km/h. That gives ma AOA low enough to clearly see the runway.
