Konrad Friedrich Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 Hello, I upgraded from BS1 to BS2. Since BS2 now runs as a module in DCS World I want to remove BS1 standalone. Can I just uninstall BS1?
sobek Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 Yes, once BS2 is activated (doublecheck that you can fly the shark to be sure), you can uninstall BS1. Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
pacotito Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 If your bs1 is not the steam version I would recommend deactivating bs1 to save an activation Pacotito I7-5820k@4.5 Z99 extreme4 16gb ddr4 520gb ssd. Gigabyte ssc GTX960 SSC 4gb
sobek Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 If your bs1 is not the steam version I would recommend deactivating bs1 to save an activation How would that save him an activation? Deinstallation does not cost you an activation. Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
pacotito Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 Unless he has a PC malfunction/upgrade. I'm always safe with my bs1 serial since I'm down to my last one and you never know what's going to happen down the road. I know can get another serial but I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. mpdugas Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 upgrade Black Shark to BS2 Can I use the Steam installation of Black Shark to upgrade to Black Shark 2? :helpsmilie:
BigfootMSR Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 Yes, the steam version will count for upgrading to BS2 but BS1 (steam version) must be installed and activated prior to applying the BS2 upgrade. The BS2 upgrade is only for DCS world.
