I just got a GTX 680 video card with a Matrox triple head2go. I currently have 2 HP W2408 monitors. I could just buy a third HP 2408 monitor or sell the two monitors and go with 3 new monitors. The thing I don't like about the HP W2408 is that the bezel is huge. I was looking at into the MD230X3 triple monitor setup and it looked pretty good. I does however seem to be a bit short on Height. I'm looking for some input and advice from some of you who have been down this road already. Thanks.

Can only tell you about my own experience . I use an AMD 7970 with 3 Iiyama Prolite X2377 HDS monitors . My current reolution is 5916 x 1080 . The screens are nice responsive IPS . The bezel is about 14 mm on each edge . They overlap , so 14 is the width of the line at each side of my centre screen . Using ATI Catalyst bezel compensation works quite well . Making the bezel appear as part of a window frame that the image behind is obscured by . Took me about 5 mins to get used to it . Not sure what Nvidia setup would be like , check it out . Been using this setup for about a month and still tweaking FOV . But the immersion is much better . Landing the first time with them was breath taking . Not sure if i can help you much more . But good luck .

You don't need that Triple Head To go for triple monitors with DCS. I've tried both AMD and Nvidia and I don't think I used anything in Nvidia setup when I did run them (I use AMD now as it has more VRAM). I did all my bezel comensation in SoftTH, which I think is a must.

I am running 6400x1920.

regarding not needing the triple head: my thinking was that I only have 4 outputs on my video card. one output was for the triple head. the other 3 were to be used for touch screens. Like you I have a wip sim pit I started. mine will be much more humble. I looked at your wip pics and was in awe of your talent. So impressed.

So is my thinking on the video output correct or flawed?

You can do it like that, essentially you want to drive 6 monitors off one 680.

There are a couple things to be aware of. One is that the framerate may not be great.. The other is that you will need to be running in windowed mode and the other is that if you have 1920x1080 screens for the touchscreens then they will not be running at native resolutions as the th2go didnt support 3x1920x1080 at full resolution.

Lastly, you couldnt put the touchscreens on the th2g0 because they will look like one large screen and windows wont have anyway to control each area of the screen off the individual touchscreens as you would like.

This means that each touchscreen would have to be on an an idividual output on the 680 and the virtual cockpit on the lower resolution with th2go.

At least that gives you something to expect.

I do have another option. I still have my old Gtx 480. Currently trying to sell. Would it be recommended to keep it as another video card and drive my touch screens off of that? and let the gtx 680 do all the heavy lifting on the 3 main display screens without the triple head? Not sure how it all would pan out. I could sell the triple head for 250. Currently the GTX 480 is worth $160-170. Any opinions and advice is welcome.
