1st of all, i did a forum search but coundn't find a sollution, so pardon me if this problem was allready discussed earlier. :book:

(Using Zoom View with TrackIR_Z is not how it is meant to be - you should zoom via a extra axis/key assignment - not by leaning forward.

Zoom View aka FOV is controlled by Numpad/ and Numpad* by default)

Problem: Assigned zoom view to slider_2 (that grey slider THR_FC on HOTAS Warthog). Any slider position other than 0% (down), 50% (middle) and 100% (up) results in unsteady zoom shaking camera. It's slightly bouncing in and and out on the zoom axis. I disabled Trackir "z" axis to make sure there is no interferrence. Doesn't help.

I use Trackir and TM Hotas via TARGET.

Pls help

What about setting it to buttons then u get smooth zooms. The * and / keys on the numpad (zoom in slow & zoom out slow). I forgot the name of the hat switch but it's the one where your thumb rests on the throttle. I have forward and aft as my zoom keys. Works out excellent as your thumb is right there zooming is easy and quick. I use the pinky switch on the joystick as a modifier so you can still use those keys with the pinky switch

Thx Quirk, i tried what u said and must say zoom function assigned to that hat switch works quite well. However, i still would like to put that zoom function to that grey slider on Hotas Warthog.

I am betting you probably are running with the led lights on the throttle.

The problem with the " jittery" slider axis on the throttle, is a bug in the firmware and related to having the LED's on. Try turning them off in the target software, and see if it is still the same.,

Also , if you have them on but not at max brightness, try setting them to max brightness if you want them on, seems like I read the max setting does not have the jitteriness.

Hope this helps,

The grey slider will work well if you use it with a modifier. That way it will only activate when the modifier is held down and then stop sending signals when the modifier is released. For example I've used the LAAP disconnect switch at the button front of the Warthog stick as my modifier.
