Rubberduck Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 (edited) Some Pics of the beast  I absolutely love it, unbelievably quick, DCS has never looked so good :) As I unpacked it, The water cooled i7 socket 2011 CPU, and my 4gb PNY 680gtx :) The radiator, seems alien to have liquid in amongst all that electricity :) Powered up, showing the AeroCool tochscreen fan controller, blu-ray and my card reader. The rear panel of the Sabretooth X79 showing the USB 3.0 ports and the bios flash port. I have been so impressed with the machine, it has far exceeded my expectations, love it :) Thanks for looking :) Edited January 14, 2013 by Rubberduck spelling Best Regards Nigel AKA Rubberduck My Dad- Always check for paper before sitting down....:music_whistling: Win7 64bBit,Intel® Core i7x4-3820 (3.6GHz), ASUS® SABERTOOTH X79, INTEL CERTIFIED LIQUID COOLING 16GB DDR3 2400MHz, NVIDIA GeFORCE GTX 680 4GB, 240GB INTEL® 520 SERIES SSD, 2TB WD CAVIAR BLACK BLU-RAY ROM DRIVE, CORSAIR 750W ENTHUSIAST SERIES, AeroCool Touch 2000 LCD Touch Screen 4 Fan Controller Creative Sound Blaster® X-Fi™ Xtreme Audio, Hotas WH, Saitek Pro-Flight Pedals & Cougar MFD's

Rubberduck Posted January 14, 2013 Author Posted January 14, 2013 Nice one Rubberduck, I'm close to finalising my parts list then I'll be placing an order on PC Specialist! Nice one :) In the other thread you asked about monitors, I am now using a pair of samsung Syncmaster S22B350H full hd monitors which are very good. From my other thread intitial findings: Beast arrived yesterday, initial tests, (couple of missions) have shown impressive performance, round the cockpit at the air base with everything high and switched on except HDR (cos I don't like it), medium civ traffic and 500% birds, I have been getting a very steady and smoothe 40 fps. On external views around 80fps, couple of time peaking at over 130. This is just using the inbuilt FPS monitor. And I am yet to test properly, but intially is very very good, and load times are mentally quick, thank you to all that advised on this thread very pleased so far oh and it looks cool too, pics to follow.... Ratfink Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 In the other thread you asked about monitors, I am now using a pair of samsung Syncmaster S22B350H full hd monitors which are very good. Thanks, I went with single Samsung S23B550V which is on order. I was thinking about the 27" but was concerned about pixel pitch & image quality at that size.
