make sure your i3 GPU is not rendering the scenes.

nVidia Optimus Technology allows the Intel HD2000/3000 GPU to Render stuff unless otherwise told not to through the Control Panel.

The same problem with a CPU Core 2 Duo without Intel HD2000/3000.

Then it's a Driver or GPU problem

a 550TI is on the Weaker side, so it shouldnt be on medium or high anyway, especially if it's driven by an i3

I have a very similar setup, no problems with scenes set to high. Since the same thing is occurring on two different computers with the same graphics card I suspect it might be faulty. Can be many other things too.

AMD FX-6300

8GB CORSAIR VENGEANCE LP DDR3 RAM

SAPPHIRE HD 7790 DUAL-X O/C 1GB DDR5

2TB SEAGATE HDD

I have purchased another graphic card AMD Radeon HD7850 and THE SAME PROBLEM!

SCENES don't work on MEDIUM or HIGH.

I have seen the error report on windows:

MSVCR100.dll

C:\Windows\system32\MSVCR100.dll

I'm very worry about this. I'm going to change the windows 7 to 64bits and hope it will be solve. I don't think there is a video card problem.

Anyone have this problem?

A HD7850 is a lower Mid Teir just like the GTX550.

I'ts like subbing a Honda Civic for a Ford Focus and expecting a big change.

C:\Windows\system32\MSVCR100.dll

is a Micrsoft Visual C++ Runtime,

A. it's possible the runtimes are either out of date or corrupted.

B. it's possible the amount of 32-bit addresses are filled up, so you do not have enough memory to run on MED or HIGH.

(32-Bit O/S restricts to 3.5GB of Physical Addresses, not just RAM, but VRAM, HDD Cache, Sound RAM, BIOS ROM, CPU Cache and USB/LAN Ports all have Memory Addresses.)

Without Detailed specs, cant really offer any more help than that

(CPU, RAM, RAM Class (DDR3 etc), Mainboard, GFX Card, GFX Card Drivers, Sound Card, etc etc)

for Example,. See my Sig:

Windows 10 Pro, Ryzen 2700X @ 4.6Ghz, 32GB DDR4-3200 GSkill (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR x2),

I'd say the 32bit Win7 is the culprit here, if you want to enable higher settings you'll have to manually edit your options.lua (see in C:\Users\<yourname>\Saved Games\DCS\Config)

open the options.lua with notepad++ and edit line 34 for scenes

["scenes"] = "high",

seriously though i would consider updating your operating system to 64bit if its possible.

edit: also you may run into memory issues once you raise these settings (runtime errors and such) see this link to enable 3GB support

SOLVED!!!!!

I have formated and installed a copy of Win 7 (64bits) and ALL GOES OK!!!!!

The problem was not the graphic card, only the OS 32 bits.

With 64 bits runs perfectly!!!!

WOW

Thanks a lot!

Start by making sure all of your drivers are update, including the motherboard, video, audio etc.

After you do this if you still have the same problem, try re-installing the game. Don't know if it's the case but maybe the game set to your original hardware/driver configuration and needs a little nudge.
