9.JG27 DavidRed Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 hey guys... is it possible to host a mission so that friends can join my self made missions, without me having a second pc? like in CLOD for example, where one just opened a lobby, started a mission, and everybody could join...
Flia Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Yes its possible. Just launch multiplayer and create new server.Others can join you directly onto your Ip adress. 9.JG27 DavidRed Posted February 3, 2013 Author Posted February 3, 2013 ok cool, is there anything else i need to know??
Flia Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Maybe just this one. You must have Public IP adress. If you not have it other PCs cannot se your server and they cant connect to your pc directly. PC: i7 9700K, 32 GB RAM, RTX 2080 SUPER, Tir 5, Hotas Warthog Throttle, VPC MongoosT-50CM2 Base with VPC MongoosT-50CM2 Grip, VKB-SIM T-RUDDER PEDALS MK.IV. MemphisBelle Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 ok cool, is there anything else i need to know?? make sure that the router has respective ports forwarded, port: 10308. Otherwise your friends wont be able to see your host. For hosting itself, that's easy. Start DCS MP, go to options and set Network speed to LAN and set a name for your self. Create a new server, set a password and start the mission...your friends should be able to see your server then (tell them to refresh the server list if they wont see you) BlackSharkDen | BSD Discord | DCS Tutorial Collection
nomdeplume Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 You might find the database at portforward.com useful for configuring the forwarding on your router.
9.JG27 DavidRed Posted March 9, 2013 Author Posted March 9, 2013 guys, can you give me please step by step instructions that even an idiot just like me is able to host successfully?please Edit: i just tried to host a server, but my friend cant even find the server in the list...direct connect via ip didnt work either...i have to admit, that iam completely clueless in this regard, so i really would need step by step instructions.
Hamblue Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 If you go to home above this page and then to the downloads section you can find missions in the user file section. Some of them are very good. Asus Sabertooth P67 Motherboard 2600k CPU, 16 gig DDR3, 1600. Samsung 830, 256 gig hard drive, GTX780 Video Card, Warthog Hotas, Razer Mamba mouse. Saitek Combat Rudder Pedals. Trackir 5, Verizon FIOS 25Meg Up/Down
Wrecking Crew Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 David, You need to open ports on your router: 10308 UDP and 10308 TCP. Start the Multiplayer, goto Options and put in your handle and LAN as the connect speed - leave it at LAN. Exit Options. Choose New Server, set it to Internet with a server name, set number of clients to at least two and password it for now. Select the mission and launch it. You should be able to fly it directly, and your friend should be able to see it on the Internet list in the MP Lobby. Your firewall may block DCS and you can see by Alt-Tab to see if there is a firewall message. Your mission has to have at least two Clients in it for you both to join. WC Visit the Hollo Pointe DCS World server -- an open server with a variety of COOP & H2H missions including Combined Arms. All released missions are available for free download, modification and public hosting, from my Wrecking Crew Projects site.
9.JG27 DavidRed Posted March 10, 2013 Author Posted March 10, 2013 thx wrecking crew! finally i was able to host a server successfully....my friend was already gone, but after a reading of how to open ports on a router, i decided to try it again...and after not even five minutes the first one joined me already....so i know its working now finally!
