Pteradon Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 (i apologize for my english, it is not my native language.) I have a question. I'm running the DCS A-10 with a i7 2600 at 4430 Mhz and a Asus EAH6950 DCII/2DI4S/2GD5. Today i got the opportunity to buy a EVGA GTX670 4GB SC/backplate for 365 euro (481,37 us dollar). I've tried to find some answers on this forum and saw also that there are some problems with Nvidia and DCS World?? If i buy the GTX670, will it be a good upgrade for that price? SkateZilla Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 670 w/ 4gb will offer a bit better performance. Rubberduck Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 (edited) Will work fine, I have the 680 and love it, really stable and decent/high fps with all settings at max, obviously it will also depend on your CPU. Sorin Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 The 4G video memory will help only if you do multi-monitor with 3-4 monitors. Otherwise a 2G card is enough.
Pteradon Posted February 26, 2013 Author Posted February 26, 2013 Thanks for the info Sorin. I was looking for for a videocard whom can handle a multi-monitor setup. I guess i'm a little addicted to DCS:pilotfly: Asus ROG Crosshair X870E Hero | Ryzen 9 9950X3D | G.Skill DDR5 Trident Z5 64GB | Samsung 9100 PRO m2 4TB | ASUS Astral RTX 5090 LC | TM AVA | TM Viper TQS | TM TPR pedals | WinWing Super Taurus | WinWing TopGun MIP | TrackIR 5 | Windows 11
spikenet Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 on this topic, can a card like gtx680 run 2 monitors off display port? I'm switching from 6950 as it just doesnt perform and like using display port.
