CA 1.2.3 Missing Weapons Compass and detailed reticules

Recommended Posts

Since updating to CA 1.2.3 I do not see the Weapons Compass at the top of the screen in any Ground vehicle.

Also the complex aiming reticule on the Shilka has also gone, replaced by a simple crosshair.

Can any one shed any light on this?

(I have already re-installed twice)

Thanks in advance

I guess your observed behaviour is normal because I have no weapon compass or complex reticule the shilka either.

I have the exact same problem here..

No detailed reticle, nor the compass that shows where my gun is pointing.

I updated via the autoupdater to 1.2.3.

The T-80 seems Ok, but lacks the compass for where the gun is pointing.

Both the M1A1 and the M109 does not have detailed reticles nor the compass for where the gun is pointing.

According to some videos I have seen (Look at the video in Zaxxar's post) there should be a compass tape on the upper part of the screen.

No detailed reticule planned for zoomed out view.

Lack of compass tape is a bug and is now noted in our bug data base.

Thanks

Before 1.2.3 the M1A1 had a aiming reticle with range marks etc. similar to the one on the T-80 (Look in the CA Manual page 19), but now we only have a crosshair - is that accurate ?

Yes, for CA.

Hmm..

Sounds strange considering that it looked like the real thing before 1.2.3

In the photos you linked you're zoomed in with the co-axial machine gun selected. If you switch to the main gun and zoom in you'll see a more authentic looking reticle

Thanks Leafer - that did the trick :)

I have a compass tape across the top but no caret showing the actual heading. Just a scrolling tape.

Yeah...

For Tanks and IFV's I can live without, but it makes the artillery, like the M109 Palladin rather useless.

I had hoped that this would have been fixed with 1.2.3.10201.

that happen to me too with the 1.2.3.10201. I have not compass. But something strange happen to me with the controls setup. At the begining of the 1.2.3 the W key and directions key work not good. I hat remapped them and then the keys work. Seem something is corrupted. Maybe the autoupdate??
