Ok, so I went and bought a buttkicker gamer2, an then I came across this thread for the TFS 3. Have I made a mistake?TFS sounds really good but some posts I read where people were having issues ordering. I only fly A-10C and a bit of P-51 and possibly going to buy Huey in the future. Will the butt kicker suffice or should I try and order TFS? TFS also seems rather complicated setting up from what I've read. I'd rather have something rather simple to set up. Thanks

Sorry, yes ... a big mistake.

I ordered TFS3 some years ago, 3 weeks later a box from the USA. Connected to USB, installed drivers, load profile: Ready for takeoff.

USB port was little damaged and connected not always, mail to the supportteam, 2 weeks later I got a new unit. Works great since them, also with the Shark and FC3.

Cheers

Tom

Unfortunately yes IMHO you made a big mistake. There is no comparison between these two products. It is like comparing a TrackIR to a coolie hat for views.

The TFS3 holds the FFB effects championship title for DCSW and many other titles.

A BK is a subwoofer driver driven by sound. A TFS3 is a true FFB device using information from the sim in much the same way a FFB stick does. It has six discrete high grade FFB actuators in separate zones under the legs and in the back of the seat. The zones are also expandable. Effects are modeled in layers and are completely customizable although the default files provided for most of the DCSW Modules are excellent to begin with. Whatever you are doing with in the sim from spooling the engines to touchdown, from firing the guns to lowering/raising gear/flaps/speed brake, it is ALL felt in the seat. These effects also include simulated G which is to say that when you pull the stick in a fast jet to climb you feel the vibes move from under your legs smoothly up your back, pulling negative G yields the opposite effect. Rolling the AC moves the vibe sensation left or right in the seat according to how much stick you apply etc. A BK can not do this at all. No comparison.

OK, thanks for that. Are they still readily available then?

I asked on another thread, but i hope yall dont mind my asking here since this seems to be the most recent topic for the TFS3. Does anyone know if these are currently shipping? I placed an order this past week, requested a shipping ETA to Craig & haven't heard back anything back. I've read around about delays so wanted to get some feedback from recent purchasers. I don't mind the wait, but also wouldn't mind some kind of response from the company......
